You Should Definitely Eat at Tidal Raves Seafood Grill

You know the restaurant is going to be good when the wait for a table is over an hour long. This can be inconvenient, to be sure, but in our case, we weren’t starving and were happy to go back to our place and wait to be called. [Note: they do not take reservations, but you can order take-out].While the long wait might not be for everyone, it did not detract from our experience there. Tidal Raves sits right in Depoe Bay, overlooking the ocean, cliffs, and rocks. The views are incredible and can be seen from pretty much every table there. The wait was definitely worth it for the amazing food and views.

What we ate:

The special for the night was pan-seared halibut, garlic mashed potatoes with spinach and goat cheese, honey Brussel sprouts, crab on top, and a mustard sauce. It was incredible.

Our group also enjoyed a bowl of clam chowder, the Green Curry (Pacific rockfish, wild shrimp, Asian vegetables, steamed peanut rice), and the flourless chocolate cake drizzled with caramel and topped with nuts.

Everything was absolutely delicious and we also tried a few libations: a hazy IPA from local Beachcrest Brewing, the Brittan Vineyards Chardonnay, and the Drunken Botanist cocktail (Tequila, Aperol, Lemon Juice, and 2 Towns seasonal Cider).

If your group is staying in Lincoln City or doesn’t mind the drive up to Depoe Bay for the day, this is the place to go. From the whale watching to the perfectly cooked halibut, this was an evening to remember.

Antiquing is a favorite coastal activity. For those rainy, windy days that you don’t want to be outside, antiquing is the perfect way to spend your time.
