PLACES TO HANG OUT AND HIKE

DEVIL’S LAKE

Located right in the town of Lincoln City, its close to everything. great for boating, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming!

SILETZ BAY

Siletz Bay is located on the southern part of town. Here, you can go clamming, crabbing, fishing, as well as lounge on the shore. Nearby there is Mo’s Restaurant as well as some of our other favorite eats and shops that you can read about HERE.

CONNIE HANSEN GARDEN CONSERVANCY

A small local garden where you can walk among the plants, take a tour, visit the library, or peruse the gift shop.

CASCADE HEAD HIKE

DRIFT CREEK FALLS HIKE

Distance: 3 miles, Location: Depoe Bay, Elevation gain: 490 ft
This hike is great for pretty much everyone and boasts a beautiful waterfall, large suspension bridge, and a gorgeous view of the coast range forest.

BOILER BAY STATE SCENIC VIEWPOINT

A rugged and basalt-rimmed bay, Boiler Bay is a great place to watch wild surf action on the rocky spurs. This panoramic viewpoint is a great place to see gray whales year round. Take your binoculars -- this is a great site to see ocean-going birds (shearwaters, jaegers, albatrosses, grebes, pelicans, loons, oystercatchers and murrelets)

GLENEDEN BEACH STATE RECREATION SITE

A short paved trail descends from the parking and picnic area through the shore pine forest to a soft sand beach flanked by crumbling orange sandstone bluffs. Wetsuit-clad surfers often catch waves here in the mornings. Don’t disturb the sea lions you may encounter here.

Take a journey into the realm of the gray whale with marine biologist, Carrie Newell and her team of naturalists. When you go on one of their excursions, they will educate you on all aspects of the gray whale, as well all the other marine life encountered including seals, sea lions, seabirds and unique oceanographic features.
Trip Costs: $45 for 1.5 hours (includes museum admission), $35 for children 2-12 years old.
